Christian Formation for Youth at St. Mary's
The Episcopal Youth Community EYC

Our Mission:
The mission of S. Mary’s-on-the-Highlands Youth Ministry is to inspire our youth to build a strong foundation of faith with Christ as the cornerstone through Christian Education and outreach.

5th and 6th  grade (Christians In Action):  The 5th and 6th graders take part in a wonderful program designed specifically to address many of the needs and issues that young people this age are presented with!  Transitioning from a child to youth can be a bit traumatic; however, the time spent together will help foster a community in which the youth can become comfortable with each other and begin building upon their faith.

7th and 8th grade (Junior EYC):  This is a community in which the youth gather to continue to build community and deepen their relationship with Christ. Middle School begins the process of young people claiming who they are as individuals. Jr. EYC will help provide tools to help youth grow into the person Christ calls all of us to be.

9th – 12th grade (Senior EYC):  The goal of the Senior EYC program is to build upon the foundation set forth by Christ. We dig deeper into scripture, live our Baptismal Covenant by serving others, and prepare the youth to continue to seek a relationship with God and the Episcopal Church after graduating from high school.
