Anne Elizabeth Cowan, Youth Minister

 

Anne Elizabeth is a native of Montgomery and lifelong Episcopalian. Her husband, Andy, and  85lb golden retriever, Hank, and relocated to Birmingham from Fairhope in April of 2010.

After graduating from The University of Alabama in 2005, with a BFA in Sculpture, Anne Elizabeth began working with the youth of Church of the Nativity in Huntsville. She was in Huntsville for two and a half years before accepting the call to be the youth director at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope. While in Fairhope she met Andy and was married at her childhood parish church, Church of the Ascension, in Montgomery.

As the director of Youth Ministries Anne Elizabeth organizes and teaches Christian Education classes for youth in grades 6-12, leads a Sr. High Bible Study on Tuesday nights and a Jr. High Bible Study on Wednesday evenings, and prepares programs for EYC meetings.
