Youth

St. Mary's Youth

We are passionate about strengthening the Body of Christ through our 5th thru 12th grade students. We believe in an environment that is grounded in Biblical study of the life of Christ and open dialogue on how Christ's life impacts our daily lives, families, and friendships. We have committed group of leaders, parents, and volunteers who create and plan studies, mission work, fellowship events and more... all to help deepen the faith of our youth.

  • July 9-13 Young People Paint Birmingham
    July 9-13

Youth entering 7th-9th grades are invited to join us for a weeklong work experience in Birmingham’s West End neighborhoods. For the last 20 years, young people in our diocese have had hands on service experience scraping and painting houses for homeowners who cannot afford to pay for this work to be done. During the evenings, the youth participate in a program that will help them learn more about poverty and how we are called to respond as Christians. St. Stephen’s, Birmingham will serve as a home base for meals, program and sleeping. Entering 12th graders and recent High school graduates are eligible to serve as a Counselor in Training. Follow the link below. Contact Gann Wright for more details so we can coordinate the youth at St. Mary's who may want to participate.
