Serving in Worship

The Acolytes of St. Mary's

St. Mary's youth in grades 7-12 have the opportunity to participate in the worship through serving as an acolyte. Acolytes serve at the 8:45 am and 11:00 am services (10:00 am during summer months) and act as as crucifers, torchbearers, or flag bearers, leading the processions into and out of worship. Each service will have one acolyte team designated to serve, and each acolyte team is captained by one of our Seniors. Serving as an acolyte is an excellent way to get plugged into the worship life at St. Mary’s!

Acolyte Training

For all new and current acolytes.  You only need to attend one of the two sessions offered:

  • Sunday, August 27 at 11:00 AM in the church
  • Sunday, September 10 at noon in the church
