Caring for Those in Need
We are here for you. We all encounter events in our lives in which we need to lean on the support and encouragement of others. Our Pastoral Care Ministry has trained pastoral carers to support people in their pain, loss and anxiety, and their triumphs, joys and victories. Please reach out to us or share with us someone you know who may need pastoral care.

St. Mary's invites you to be a part of our Meal Ministries. We hope you will consider being included in a contact list to receive updates when meals are needed at the church for pastoral care and other events. You may also wish to join a cook team that will meet periodically at the church to prepare meals. Please follow the link below to sign up for Meal Ministries.
Spiritual Directors Mary Catherine and Jeff Akamatsu return to offer monthly individual spiritual direction. They will be joined by Lou Thibodaux, an Episcopal Deacon. In Spiritual Direction, one seeks guidance and support for the life of faith with a fellow Christian, or Spiritual Director. For details and information on how to make an appointment, download the Spiritual Direction brochure.
Pastoral Care Committee
Stephen Ministers are there: after the phone call you hoped you’d never get; after the divorce papers are signed and you’re wondering who will be there for you; after the funeral, when everyone has gone to back to their own lives, and it all hits you...alone, grieving; after you find a pink slip with your paycheck; after the last child honks the horn, waves, and pulls out of the driveway—and the house is empty.; after the doctor tells you that you have cancer; after your mother falls and you must care for her and your family.; after your friends have heard your story one too many times, but you still need to talk; after the baby arrives, demanding more of you than you could have imagined. These are just a few of the hundreds of life challenging possibilities for which Stephen Ministers are trained to provide Christian care-giving to individuals in our church and the community. It is a ministry of listening and presence, walking through life’s difficulties in a one-on-one confidence
