Youth Education

Youth Education

We are passionate about strengthening the Body of Christ through our 4th thru 12th grade students. We believe in an environment that is grounded in Biblical study of the life of Christ and open dialogue on how Christ's life impacts our daily lives, families, and friendships. We have committed group of leaders, parents, and volunteers who create and plan studies, mission work, fellowship events and more... all to help deepen the faith of our youth.

The mission of the Youth Ministry of St. Mary’s on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church is for students to grow into their Baptismal Commitments “to know Christ and be able to follow him.” BCP 859

Through different programs and offerings, our hope is to shape our Youth Ministry around these 5 pillars:

  1. Gospel Centrality – faithfully proclaiming the good news of God’s unconditional love for sinners through Christ.
  2. Theological depth through expository, biblical teaching – equipping students with a biblical worldview.
  3. Relational discipleship – pursing all facets of ministry in the context of caring relationships with students.
  4. Partnership with parents – educating, equipping, and collaborating with parents in the discipleship of their kids.
  5. Intergenerational integration – including students among all the generations of the church.
